Message from Pastor Ogle
I would love to invite you to Emmanuel Baptist Church. We are a family-friendly church located in Kings Mountain, NC. Your whole family can expect to hear the Bible preached and taught here. We believe the Bible is God’s inspired Word, and our job is to make its message known to all people. Our goal is for Christ to be honored in our music, our worship, our relationship to the community, and all that we do. In order to fulfill that mission, we strive to have a balanced ministry with an emphasis on evangelism and Bible teaching, both at home and abroad. We offer active programs for children and teens with solid Biblical content for the whole family.
While we are always happy to welcome new members, church membership is not most important. In fact, church membership, baptism, and communion are not valid experiences until one accepts Jesus Christ as his own personal Savior. If you have questions about where you will spend eternity, you can read God’s plan of salvation or contact us with your questions. We would love to help you become part of God’s family!

What We Believe
Our Philosophy of Ministry
Many churches minimize preaching, often substituting drama, video, and other types of entertainment for the preaching of the Word of God. At Emmanuel, we believe I Corinthians 1:18 that: “The preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.” Therefore, preaching is central at Emmanuel. We strive to preach the truth of the Word of God with love and grace (John 1:14).
The Christ-honoring music at Emmanuel prepares our hearts for preaching, but it cannot replace preaching. Because the Bible addresses the practical issues of life, we trust the Bible to do its work in the lives of all who attend our services. Therefore, the expository method of preaching through a book verse-by-verse is our most used preaching style. People who faithfully attend can hear books of the Bible taught and preached from beginning to end to greatly increase their knowledge of God and His Word. Emmanuel Baptist Church is a family-friendly church. We believe that every member of our church is a valuable part of our church family. We believe that, while church membership is voluntary, it is an essential part of life for all believers. Our ministry includes every age and stage of life. We believe a healthy church is one where a Biblical pattern of discipleship/mentorship builds up families, marriages, and individuals.
