2013 Year in Review

Dear Friends and Church Family, Merry Christmas!  This has been a year of change for us but God has been very good.  The transition of pastors has been so smooth.  Pastor and Mrs. Surrett laid such a great foundation, and our people have been patient and loving.  The men’s prayer meeting has been a great encouragement.  God sold our land with a nice profit and increased our faith promise.  We have added new families to our church family, and the offerings have been good. We saw young people married, babies born, couples and individuals launched into the ministry, and others added to the church.  Our Bible clubs continue to grow and we are seeing the effects of that in our other ministries.  We enjoyed the Merrill team for our VBS and saw lives impacted.  God did a work in our young people at the Wilds (otherwise known as the rain forest).  Our Missions Conference and visit to Every Nation Baptist Church was a highlight of the year.  Thank you for expanding your vision of missions.  Once again the church did an amazing job of giving to the Thanksgiving baskets and the parade outreach.  Your sacrifice continues to amaze us.  You did a great job in various outreaches this year: the ladies banquet and the Easter outreach.  These were exciting days and we are still working with some of those reached at those events. The year was not without challenges as we said goodbye to Michael Coffey.  Oh, how you demonstrated the love of Christ during that time.  Thank you for being an example of what Christ would have done.  Others have lost family members and it was difficult to say goodbye. We have had changes to our missionary family in various ways.  Thank you for praying for those changes. Please take the time to enjoy the Christmas season as we celebrate the birth of our Savior.  We look forward to sharing with you what God has planned for us in the New Year.  As we anticipate a new building, a new outreach program and other things, may we focus on growing in Christ every day.  If we as a staff can help you in anyway, please let us know.  We love you and count it a privilege to serve together.   For His Glory, Pastor and Mrs. Ogle Pastor and Mrs. Brubaker Pastor and Mrs. Surrett
